ADC Doda reviews arrangements for Eid Milad-un-Nabi

DODA, Sept 2: To ensure adequate arrangements for Eid Milad-un-Nabi, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Anil Kumar Thakur today chaired a meeting with officers from across line departments and those from sub-divisions and Tehsils of the district, who attended through virtual mode.
The meeting reviewed security, sanitation, power supply, water supply, traffic management, livestock availability and medical arrangements for the auspicious day. The ADC directed SDMs and Tehsildars to ensure adequate and clean water supply to all slaughterhouses in their respective jurisdictions.
The Assistant Director, Food Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, was asked to constitute teams to keep check on overpricing and ensure availability of quality consumable items. The Chief Medical Officer (CMO) was directed to ensure adequate medical facilities and organize medical camps, especially in view of the recent heavy rains.
The Sheep Husbandry Department was instructed to ensure that livestock made available for the day is disease-free and fit for consumption.
Executive Officers of Doda, Bhaderwah and Thathri Municipal Bodies were directed to ensure proper sanitation, cleanliness around Eidgah and mosques and clearance of drainage blockages caused by heavy rainfall. Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Doda was asked to ensure foolproof security arrangements.
The ADC emphasized communicating the guidelines and instructions down the line for effective implementation and smooth arrangements. He further directed all departments to work in close coordination to ensure a peaceful and hassle-free celebration.
The meeting was attended by ASP, Superintendent Engineer (Hydraulic), Superintendent Engineer JPDCL, Chief Medical Officer, Tehsildar, Executive Engineer Jal Shakti, Executive Engineer JPDCL Division and Executive Officer MC. Besides these, ADC Bhaderwah, ASP Bhaderwah, SDM Gandoh, SDM Thathri, SDM Assar, all Tehsildars, SDPOs, SHOs and Executive Officers of MC Thathri and Bhaderwah also participated virtually.
