| Decision on school recognition welcomed | | | Early Times Report Jammu, May 7: The president of All India Kissan Sabha Dr. G.S. Charak and general secretary J&K Milchar front in a joint statement have appreciated the efforts made by Desh Bandh in extending the process of recognition of private schools upto 2012 including several pending cases lying in the office of chairman since long. They said extending of date has received of un-necessary trouble of process which effect the normal working of the private schools. They also urged upon the chief minister Abdullah to personally intervene and readdress the problems of the private schools and added that the private schools should not be treated as commercial organizations as they are lessening the burden of government exchequer and there fore they should not be liable to any trade tax. They also demanded that recognized affiliated private schools should be granted permission to run evening professional courses like ETT/NTT etc in the same available building.
