| MLA Bahu Ch Vikram Randhawa visits Nanak Nagar to assess rainfall damage | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Sept 5: Today, MLA Bahu Ch. Vikram Randhawa, along with the Mandal Team, including Mandal President Rahul Kumar, conducted a door-to-door visit in Nanak Nagar to personally assess the damage caused by the recent heavy rainfall in the area.
Despite the difficult conditions, the MLA and his team entered the homes of affected residents to get a first-hand understanding of the severe damage caused by the rainfall. The team listened carefully to the concerns of the people and observed the impact of water entering residential homes.
The residents shared their hardships and expressed serious concerns about the inadequate drainage system and recurring waterlogging issues.
MLA Randhawa reassured the public that he stands firmly with them in this time of distress. He emphasized that immediate and effective action will be taken to resolve the drainage problems to ensure that such flooding does not recur in the future.
"I am always with the people. Immediate steps will be taken to ensure this situation does not repeat. Strengthening the drainage and infrastructure is our top priority," said Ch. Vikram Randhawa.
He also directed concerned departments to conduct a detailed survey of the affected areas and begin restoration work at the earliest. Special focus will be given to vulnerable spots facing repeated waterlogging.
The presence of the Mandal team, especially Mandal President Rahul Kumar, highlighted the united efforts of the local leadership in responding promptly to the public's concerns.
