| HC orders status-quo for Director ISM | | | Early Times Report Jammu, May 07- In a petition challenging the appointment of Dr. Abdul Kabir Dar as Officiating Director ISM, Justice Nirmal Singh of J&K High Court Jammu Wing today issued notice to State of J&K and others and ordered that subject to the objection the parties are directed to maintain status quo. Dr. CR Munday in his petition claimed that he was appointed as Medical Officer Ayurvedic on January 12, 1980 whereas respondent No 5 presently officiating Director ISM on his appointment joined his duty as Medical Officer Unani with effect from March 23, 1993. The petitioner prayed for issuance of various directions including direction to restraining the respondent No 5 from holding the office of Director ISM with a further direction to official respondents restraining them regularizing the service of said respondents against the post of Director ISM to which he is not eligible under rules. The petitioner further seeking direction to the respondents particularly the Vigilance organization or any other independent investigating agency including CBI to hold fair and impartial investigation in the matter as to how and with whose connivance the respondent Dr. Adbul Kabir Dar (presently officiating Director ISM) in a short span of time reached to a position in his service career which otherwise he was not eligible as per service rules.
