Jammu, May 7-Expressing his grave concern over the shortage of ration, fertilizers and worst power situation in Mendhar and adjoining localities, the former Minister and MLA Mendhar Sardar Rafiq Hussain Khan has called on concerned authorities to provide fertilizers to the farmers of his area besides arranging adequate rations. He said that due to non availability of fertilizers farming community has been facing hardship. He warned that if fertilizers were not provided to the farmers on time, he would launch an agitation in support of the farming community.
Coming down heavily on Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution (CAPD) department for its failure to provide ration in Mendhar and adjoining localities, he alleged that ration was not available in government runs outlets so both BPL and APL families have been facing hardship. Most of the poor families are at the verge of starvation due to the non availability of ration.
