In solidarity with Sikhs, strong support for today bandh
Atrocities on Sikhs by Taliabanis evokes wide spread condemnation

Jammu, May 7- Several political parties and other organizations have endorsed the Jammu Bandh call for tomorrow to protest against the forcible migration of Sikhs and Hindus from the frontier areas of Pakistan and condemned the act of the Talibani forces operating in the neighboring country.
The JKNPP in an emergent meeting held at its headquarters here today under the chairmanship of S. Daljit Singh, State Vice-President took stock of the situation arising out of forcible migration of Sikhs and Hindus from Frontier areas of Pakistan by taking Jazia from members of the minority communities and strongly condemned this act of Talibani forces operating in Pakistan and urged upon the Pakistan government to provide material and protection to the Sikhs and Hindus living in the Talibania infested areas of Pakistan.
All the speakers who attended the meeting strongly condemned the act of atrocities committed on minority in frontier area of Pakistan infested by the Talibani forces.
JKNPP extended its full support to the Jammu Band call given by Jammu Bar association and other political parties and social organization here on May 8.

District President Jammu city, Shanker Singh Chib, District President, Jammu Rural, S. Paramjeet Singh Marshall, Raghubir Singh and Ravinder Singh Jamwal,
In the meantime the state unit of the BJP has also extended its support to May 8 bandh call.
State Spokesperson Ramesh Arora while addressing a press conference today, said that the BJP’s support to Jammu bandh has been given in view of atrocities committed on members of Sikh community in Pakistan and described submitting a memorandum to UNO office is a right decision .Arora appealed people to observe peaceful bandh tomorrow.
District Jammu President Rajesh Gupta while addressing meeting of district office bearers, Mandal Presidents and General Secretaries at party headquarters, has asked them to reach out the masses and ensure their support to make the schedule for Jammu bandh a success.
He said that the Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Jammu Bar and other organizations have given a call for Jammu bandh on May 8 against the harassment, inhumane treatment and brutalities being meted to the members of Sikh community by Taliban terrorists in Pakistan. He said the Pakistan government has failed to ensure safety of the lives and property of the Sikhs, who have been left at the mercy of the God.
Rajesh Gupta has appealed the people from all walks of life to display unity and register their resentment over the Talibani action on Sikhs.
Shiv Kumar Gupta, Jaideep Sharma, Baldev Singh, Rajinder Sharma, Kuldeep Magotra, Munish Khajuria, Rakesh Gandotra, Vikram Randhawa, Chander Mohan Gupta, Dinesh Gupta, Vinay Gupta, Ramesh Sharma, Amreek Singh and Surinder Pargal were prominent among those who attended the meeting.
Jammu State Morcha (P) in its meeting held under the chairmanship of its President Prof Virender Gupta has strongly supported the Jammu Bandh call for Friday given by various political parties and social groups against the atrocities committed on Hindus, Sikhs, Christians and other non- Muslim communities and imposing Zazia like draconian laws. It also condemns the atrocities and inhuman treatment being inflicted on the women folk and the children in particular. It also strongly criticizes the Talabanization movement being started by Islamic fundamentalist groups and perceives it as a threat to the humanity and the modern civilization.
JSM (P) has called upon the countrymen and the civilized world population to stand against such acts. It has also impressed upon the Indian Government, USA, Great Britian, Russia, China, France and other world countries and the UNO, in particular to use the resources in their command to halt such savage, vulgar and inhuman acts.
The Morcha has appealed the people to support the Bandh call aggressively and unitedly to send appropriate message to worldwide and the concerned quarters.
Among others who attended the meeting included Abdul Rauf Ganai, H.B.Khajuria, Capt. Anil Gaur, Swarn Kanta, Dig Vijay Singh, Divender Singh and Chandra Udey Sharma.
