Jammu, Sept 7: As desired by his Holiness Mahant Manjit Singh ji of Shiromani Dera Nangali Sahib Poonch, S.Sudershan Singh Wazir Chairman Sikh United FrontJ&K along with other various Sikh organizations J&K, while addressing press conference said that keeping in view the devastation in J&K, Punjab and other places, he appealed to the people in general and Sikhs in particular on behalf of his Holiness Mahant Manjit Singh ji of Shiromani Dera Nangali Sahib Poonch that everyone should come forward in this hour of crisis and help those who need to be taken care of. His Holiness Mahant Sahib Ji has issued an appeal to one and all, urging them to contribute monetarily or in any manner they deem fit to alleviate the people's miserable plight in this hour of crisis.
Mr Wazir further appealed to the people on behalf of his Holiness Mahant Sahib ji as his holiness has issued an appeal to all the Gurudwaras, their management the District Gurudwara Prabandhak committees of union territory of J&K to atleast contribute one month Golak of the Gurudwara for this cause and help people not only in J&K but also send money to Shiromani Gurudwara Prabandhak committee Amritsar. His Holiness Mahant Manjit Singh ji made a special mention about the noble custom of langar initiated by Guru NanakDev jiwhich the Sikhs are
carrying on all over the world, whether it is the Myanmar refugee crisis in Bangladesh, crisis in Thailand or whether the crisis is in India or any other country of the world, the Khalsa panth always come to the rescue of the needy.
His Holiness complimented the resolve of Punjabis who single-handedly, without the help of any government agency, has done their best to provide necessary support to the needy in cash or kind.
In the end, Mr. Wazir appealed on behalf of the Sikh community to one and all to adhere to the noble appeal of his Holiness Mahant Manjit Singh ji and donate in whichever manner they can.
