DODA, Sept 8: The Indian Army organized an Ex-Servicemen (ESM) and Veer Nari Interaction Meet at Thathri Company Operating Base (COB), reaffirming its continued commitment to the welfare and well-being of veterans and their families.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from 24 Ex-Servicemen and one Veer Nari from the region. The interaction served as a vital platform for the veterans and Veer Nari to voice their concerns and share experiences with Army representatives.
The participants highlighted several ongoing issues, including challenges faced in accessing welfare benefits and urgent requirements for timely redressal of grievances.
They also drew attention to the hardships encountered during the recent floods, which had adversely impacted many families in the region. The Army assured the attendees of all possible assistance and reiterated its dedication to addressing their concerns in coordination with civil administration and government agencies. The event also served to strengthen the emotional bond between serving soldiers, veterans and Veer Naris, underscoring the Army's ethos of "Once a Soldier, Always a Soldier."
