Early Times Report KISHTWAR, Sept 8: The District Level Task Force Committee (DLTFC) under the Jammu and Kashmir Rural Employment Generation Programme (JK REGP) met today to discuss the loan proposals processed by the implementing agency J&K Khadi & Village Industries Board. The meeting was chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner Pawan Kotwal. The Committee meticulously reviewed the applications proposing businesses such as Grocery Stores, Readymade Garment shops, tile manufacturing units and other enterprises. Out of 60 cases presented, 42 were approved, while 18 applicants did not turn up for the interview. The total sanctioned amount stands at around Rs 3.87 crore (Rs 3,87,00,000), with a subsidy of Rs 1.35 crore (Rs 1,35,00,000) to be provided to the beneficiaries. The establishment of these units is expected to generate new employment opportunities, thereby contributing significantly to Kishtwar's economic growth and providing livelihood support to local residents. The meeting was attended by LDM Harsh Rawal and representatives from RSETI, JKEDI, Polytechnic, JK Bank Cluster Office, ITI, along with other stakeholders. |
