6 vehicles indulged in illegal mining seized by P/S Billawar police

KATHUA, Sept 8: Cracking a whip on illegal mining and transportation of minerals, J&K Police Kathua under the overall supervision of SSP Kathua seized 06 vehicles ( 04 Tractor Trolleys & 02 Dumpers) indulged in illegal mining (loaded with sand) at UJh Pull and Tharakalwal area of PS Billawar and PP Hatli area.
In the first instance, On 08.09.2025 A Police team led by SHO PS Billawar Insp. Zaheer Mushtaq under the guidance of SDPO Billawar Sh. Neeraj Padyar during patrolling/checking at Ujh Pull naka seized two tractor trolleys bearing Reg. No. JK08-6284 & JK08P-6234 indulged in illegal mining (loaded with sand) without any legal permission.Moreover 02 more Tractor alongwith trolleys bearing Reg. no.s JK08P-8039 and JK08H-8521 involved in transportation of (illegal mining material) was also seized by Police team led by IC PP Ramkot PSI Ranbeer Singh under the guidance of SDPO Billawar and SHO PS Billawar.
In addition, the police team of PP Hatli led by IC PP Hatli under the guidance of DySP Hqrs Kathua and SHO PS Kathua seized two dumpers bearing Reg. No.s JK08K-9245 & JK08N-8817 indulged in illegal mining without any legal permission.
Meanwhile all the 06 vehicles( 04 Tractor alongwith Trolleys and 02 Dumpers) indulged in illegal mining were seized & immediately handed over to the officials of the Geological and Mining department Kathua.
