SSP Reasi visits flood, landslide affected areas of Mahore

Jammu, Sept 9: In a humanitarian outreach to disaster-hit regions, *Senior Superintendent of Police Reasi, Sh. Paramvir Singh, JKPS alongwith Addl. SP Reasi Sh. Iftkhar Ahmed, SDM Mahore Sh Shafqat Bhat and SDPO Mahore Sh. Viqar Younas today visited Sarh, Mahore area where heavy rains triggered floods and landslides, causing widespread damage and hardships to the local population.
Pertinently land sinking episodes in recent heavy rainfall and flood like Situation damages a number of houses in Sarh, Jamslan and Musra areas of Mahore. A number of families got displaced and become homeless in the area.
During the visit, SSP Reasi inspected the affected spots, assessed the extent of damages caused to roads, houses and essential infrastructure and interacted with the residents to take firsthand account of their difficulties. He patiently listened to the grievances of the locals and assured them of every possible support from the Police and District Administration.
SSP Reasi instructed the police personnel deployed in the area to remain vigilant and extend maximum assistance to the public, particularly in terms of facilitating safe movement and protection to the displaced families. He also underlined the importance of close coordination with civil administration and NGOs for timely relief and restoration measures.
Expressing solidarity with the affected families, SSP Reasi lauded the resilience of the people of Mahore and assured that District Police Reasi will remain constantly engaged in providing help and support until normalcy is restored.
