Jammu, Sept 9: With the rising healthcare needs of the people of Jammu & Kashmir, Swami Vivekananda Medical Mission Charitable Hospital, Ambphalla, Jammu, under the able vision of President Sh. Anil Gupta, has introduced specialized Urology Services at the hospital. A major milestone was achieved when a successful urinary bladder cancer surgery – Transurethral Resection of Bladder Tumor (TURBT), an advanced endoscopic procedure performed without incision – was carried out by Dr. Vidyut Gupta (M.S. Surgery, M.Ch. Urology). The hospital is now equipped to provide advanced surgical facilities for kidney stones, urinary bladder stones, prostate disorders, kidney and urinary bladder cancer, prostate cancer, andrology and sexual health problems, and female urinary incontinence. These services aim to make modern urological treatments accessible and affordable to the people of the region. Dr. Arvind Kohli, Medical Director, added, “The launch of Urology Services at our hospital is a step towards expanding multi-specialty care under one roof.
