| Anantnag police seize 95 Kgs of contraband in major crackdown | | |

ANANTNAG, Sept 9: Anantnag Police recovered a huge consignment of narcotics weighing around 95 kilograms during a raid at a rented accommodation in Grendash area under Police Station Aishmuqam.
Police teams, supervised by SDPO Pahalgam and in presence of the Executive Magistrate, seized six bags of contraband (Fukki), including both grinded material and pods.
One accused, identified as Parvez Ahmed Boked S/O Bashir Ahmad Boked R/O Ainobra, was arrested from the spot. However, the prime suspect Mukhtar Ahmed Boked S/O Rafiq Ahmed R/O Jammu (presently at Grendash) managed to flee. Police have launched efforts to nab him. A case under FIR No. 62/2025 has been registered at Police Station Aishmuqam under relevant sections of the NDPS Act. Further investigation is underway to bust the entire network. |
