Jammu, Sept 10: Jhajjar Kotli Police today arrested an absconder who had been evading arrest for the past 12 years.
The accused has been identified as Raj Kumar, son of Kali Dass, resident of Chowki Naushera, Rajouri.
He was wanted in connection with a criminal case registered under FIR No. 77/2007, under Sections 270, 337, and 338 of the Ranbir Penal Code (RPC) at Police Station Jhajjar Kotli.
A warrant under Section 512 of the CrPC had been issued against him.
Acting on a tip-off, a police team from PS Jhajjar Kotli, led by Station House Officer Inspector Vikas Dogra, apprehended the accused. He will be produced before the court tomorrow.
It is pertinent to mention that this is the second absconder arrested within two days by Jhajjar Kotli Police.
