| Plantation drive organised at GDC Bani | | |

Bani, Sept 10: In order to safeguard the nature and enivoronment NSS Unit and Department of Physical Education and Sports GDC Bani in collaboration with MJM Sports Club Barmota organized an awareness programme on environment preservation by kick starting a plantation drive at college campus of Government Degree College Bani.
The plantation drive was inaugurated by the worthy Principal of the college Prof. (Dr) Manohar Lal. Worthy Principal was accompanied by the Chairman of the MJM Sports Club Sh. Abdul Ghani and all the faculty members of the college and the students.. In this connection, an awareness rally was also organized by the students of the college under the supervision of Dr J S Soodan, Physical Director and Dr Nisha Devi, NSS Programme Officer under the overall supervision of the Principal GDC Bani Prof.(Dr) Manohar Lal.
The students recited slogans on respecting the Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan launched by Hon’ble Prime Minister of India.
The students also demonstrated to avoid the polluting the water bodies and to keep them neat and clean. This plantation derive was organized under the theme “ Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” by the Club members and NSS Volunteers. Morethan, 60 plant saplings were planted by the students of the college. Worthy Principal also addressed the students and volunteers, In his address, he has asked the students to become an ambassador on environment preservation. |
