Early Times Report JAMMU, Sept 10: Live For Others - Being Helpful Foundation NGO, in collaboration with J&K Bank, has officially launched Project RISE (Respecting Identity, Supporting Equality), a comprehensive initiative on the theme of gender sensitization. Under this project, a total of 176 sessions will be conducted across all 20 districts of Jammu & Kashmir UT and 2 districts of Ladakh UT. This will include 88 awareness sessions and 88 follow-up sessions, with the ambitious target of sensitizing over 50,000 youth. The aim is to develop a society where all genders are treated equally and with respect. The sessions will be organized in various educational institutions as well as community spaces, ensuring that students, youth, and citizens are equally engaged and empowered with the message of equality. As part of the initiative, self-assessment training activities will be conducted to encourage participants to reflect on their attitudes and behaviors. Additionally, basic self-defense training sessions will also be organized, equipping students and children with essential techniques to build confidence, safety awareness, and resilience.
