YRS invites people to celebrate 130th Birth Anniversary of Maharaja Hari Singh Ji

Jammu, Sept 11: Just as the Birth Anniversary of Maharaja Hari Singh Ji, The Last Dogra Ruler of Princely State Jammu and Kashmir, Leh Ladakh and Tibetan Desh , is celebrated with great joy, happiness and enthusiasm every year on 23rd of September and on the occasion of the birth anniversary, Yuva Rajput Sabha (YRS) has been paying tribute to Maharaja Hari Singh Ji for the last 12 years by taking out a grand rally in Jammu in the shape of Jhanki with all the Dogras of Jammu.
This year too, on 23rd September 2025, on the occasion of Maharaja Hari Singh Ji's 130th birth anniversary, the President of YRS, Sanjeev Singh Rinku, along with many senior members of the Sabha, core committee members and members of the state body, addressed a press conference at the Press Club of Jammu and explained all the programs in detail.
While Addressing the press conference, Sanjeev Singh expressed his condolences to the people of Jammu division keeping in view the heavy damage caused by the rains and flood in Jammu Provience and said that every member of the Sabha is very sad about the heavy loss in Jammu and the suffering of the people, YRS will always be seen standing with the people of Jammu in their hard and sorrow time and Team YRS appeal administration to gave relief package to flood affected people in Jammu division as soon as possible.
Sanjeev Singh also brief that on the coming 23rd September, YRS celebrated the 130th Birth anniversary of Maharaja Hari Singh ji with great joy and happiness and on the occasion of the same, the Sabha is organizing its programs by going to different places in Jammu Provience and addresses people gathering and gave invitation of programs to people and invites all Dogras to join the event of Birth Anniversary.
Sanjeev Singh also briefs that the Sabha will also do a huge road show in Jammu on 18th of September, the road show which will start from near the statue of Maharaja Hari Singh ji at 10 am and passes through the areas of Jammu and go through the way of Kot Bhalwal, go through Akhnoor, Jourian, Khour and Pallawala and will end in coming back to Jammu City through Jammu Akhnoor National Highway .
After this, the statue of Maharaja Hari Singh ji will be washed and cleaned on 21st of September and started futher arrangements for cultural program held on 22nd of September at Maharaja Hari Singh Ji Statue which starts from 8:00 pm to 12:00 am in which Dogra artists of Jammu will participate and will also perform and entertain and pay tribute to Maharaja Hari Singh ji by singing and describes the glorious historical contributions of Dogra Maharajahs.
Sanjeev Singh also told in detail about the rally of YRS on 23rd September that like every year, this rally will be started from MD Resort Keran Bantalab at 10:30 am in a proper manner with all the Rajput and Dogra community of Jammu and will pass through Chinore, Roopnagar, Janipur, Newplot, Amphala Chowk, Panjtirthi CPU Chowk, Kachi Chawni, Parade, Shalimar Chowk, Indra Chowk and Gumat and will conclude at the statue of Maharaja Hari Singh ji on the main bridge of Bikram Chowk.
Founder Member Rajinder Singh Manhas along with Founder members Rajesh Singh and Ranjeet Singh briefs that YRS is celebrating the birth anniversary of Maharaja Hari Singh ji on September 23 in a big day to remember the contribution and achievement’s of Maharaja Hari Singh ji in his rule under whom signature J&K became integral part of India.
They said that Maharaja Hari Singh ji was a great progressive ruler who declared that “All religions are mine and my religion is justice to all”.He introduced free primary education to all,opens temple’s doors to all sections of society irrespective of caste ,creed and color.
He declared untouchability a crime. Maharaja Hari Singh also promulgated State Subject laws to protect land ,jobs and resources as well as the Dogra identity,culture and rights of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
