Jammu, Sept 11: As part of Operation Sadbhavna, the Indian Army organised a National Integration Tour (NIT) for students of Jammu & Kashmir, providing them with an enriching exposure to India’s cultural, historical and social diversity. The tour commenced with visits to some of Delhi’s most iconic landmarks. The students explored the majestic Red Fort (Lal Qila), a symbol of India’s heritage and freedom struggle, where they learned about the country’s glorious past. They also paid homage at the historic Gurudwara Sis Ganj Sahib, gaining insights into the spiritual ethos and traditions of Sikhism. To give the participants a taste of contemporary urban life, the itinerary included a memorable visit to the vibrant Chandni Chowk market, where the students experienced the energy of Delhi’s bustling bazaars while engaging in shopping and interacting with local communities. The initiative not only broadened the horizons of young participants but also instilled in them a deeper appreciation of India’s unity in diversity. Locals and students alike praised the Indian Army for its thoughtful planning and commitment to nurturing national integration.
