UDHAMPUR, Sept 11: In a sustained drive against drug trafficking, Udhampur Police achieved another success by apprehending three inter-state narco smugglers and recovering 250 grams of Heroin (Chitta) from their possession. During a routine naka checking at Battal Majalta, a vehicle (Registration No. PB08FM 4157) coming from Ramkote towards Udhampur was intercepted by a police team of Police Station Majalta.
The occupants of the vehicle were identified as:
Darvinderpal, S/o Rughveer Singh, R/o Garha, Jalandhar
Manjeet Singh, S/o Gurnam Singh, R/o Hari Pura, Amritsar
Bikramjit Kumar, S/o Sukhraj, R/o Aima Khurad, Punjab
On thorough checking of the vehicle, 250 gms of heroin (chitta) was recovered from their possession. All three smugglers were immediately arrested on the spot.
In this regard, case FIR No. 71/2025 under relevant sections of the NDPS Act (8/21/22) has been registered at Police Station Majalta and further investigation is in progress. |
