Indian Army HADR healing hearts, lifting lives at Kalidhar | | | early times report
Akhnoor, Sept 12: In the wake of torrential rains and floods along the Manawar Tawi, the Kalidhar Brigade of the Indian Army reached out to the flood-affected residents of Sunderbani and nearby border villages by organizing a Medical Relief Camp. This timely humanitarian initiative provided critical support to communities struggling with the devastation caused by incessant rains. The camp extended medical consultation and distributed essential medicines to 113 men, 90 women and 73 children, ensuring care reached every section of society. The presence of Army doctors and support staff brought not only medical relief but also reassurance and comfort to families battling hardship. The initiative reaffirmed the Indian Army’s ethos of “Service Before Self” and highlighted its commitment to standing shoulder to shoulder with citizens in times of crisis. Beyond safeguarding borders, the Army continues to act as a pillar of strength and support during natural calamities, restoring hope and resilience among affected populations.
