Jammu, Sept 14: Samooh Theatre today organized a mega event of releasing Three Dogri songs including Bhajan, Rap etc.,in the melodious voice of renowned Bollywood playback singers namely Bhajan Smarat Anoop Jalota, Sadhna sargam and Kailsh Kher here today at Abhinav Theatre, Jammu.
The songs and Bhajan were written by Padamshree, Mohan Singh, Yash pal Yash and Brij Mohan, a noted Music director of the state.
Sh. Brij Mohan Sharma,IFS ,Principal Secretary Culture,who graced the occasion as chief guest while praising the relentless efforts of SCSSC especially Dr. kasturi lal Gupta in terms of promoting the Dogri language by incorporating traditional and technological medium in order to motivate thousands of students and teachers by organising debate, Skit, poetry, prabhaat ferry etc.to make the Dogras aware about the value of mother tongue.
Earlier,in his welcome address,Dr. Kasturi lal Gupta, Chairman Senior Citizen Support Service Club, who sponsored the whole event, said, His team is whole heartily devoted to make the mother tongue popular in every home . He said, ‘ Now it is the duty of every mother to give first priority to their mother tongue Dogri to save the Dogra Culture
*Maj Gen SK Sharma, AVSM, President, Senior Citizens SS Club Chowadi, while giving the working and activities detail of SCSSC, He brought out in the notice of Jam packed hall that CBSE schools of J&K are defying National Education Policy 2020 by not teaching mother tongue Dogri as a subject and forcing students to study Sanskrit/Urdu which is not the mother tongue of the children. He stressed that every Dogra family must feel proud of being a Dogra, encouraging their children to take Dogri as a subject in schools. He also stressed the need to speak in Dogri among ourselves as well as with the shopkeepers whenever we buy any item from them. |
