| 9 vehicles including in illegal mining seized by Police | | |

KATHUA, Sept 14; 14 SEP; Cracking a whip on illegal mining and transportation of minerals, J&K Police Kathua under the overall supervision of SSP Kathua seized 09 vehicles ( 03 Dumpers, 06 Tractor Trolley) indulged in illegal mining(loaded with construction material) within the Kathua District.
In the first instance, On 14.09.2025 A Police team led by IC Out Post Ghatti under the guidance of DySP Hqrs Kathua & SHO PS Kathua during patrolling/checking in its jurisdictional area seized 03 vehicles(02 Tractor alongwith Trolleys and 01 Tipper) i.e Tractor Trolley bearing Reg. No.s JK08N-5331,Tractor Trolley bearing Ch. No. EZZDR1085327S3 & Tipper bearing Reg. No. JK08N-7977 indulged in illegal mining without any legal permission.
In addition, the police team of PS Billawar led by SHO P/S Billawar & IC PP Ramkot under the guidance of SDPO Billawar seized 04 Tractor Trolleys bearing Reg. No.s i.e JK08K-8844,JK08D-6312,Jk08Q-6528 & Ch. No. MBNAV53NRSTB34 indulged in illegal mining without any legal permission. Moreover 02 Dumper bearing Reg. No. JK21K-0717 & JK21K-8683 involved in transportation of (illegal mining material) was also seized by Police team led by IC PP Marheen under the guidance of SDPO Border & SHO PS Rajbagh.
Meanwhile all the 09 vehicles( 06 Tractor alongwith Trolleys and 03 Dumpers) indulged in illegal mining were seized & immediately handed over to the officials of the Geological and Mining department Kathua. |
