| Two Thieves Arrested, Stolen Motorcycle, Mobile Phones & Cash Recovered by Police | | |  Early Times Report
UDHAMPUR, Sept 14: Udhampur Police has achieved a success by solving two theft cases registered at Police Station Udhampur and arresting two thieves with stolen property. On 11/09/2025, Police Station Udhampur received a complaint from Alok Raj S/O Charan Das R/O Moud Udhampur stating that his motorcycle bearing registration number JK14J-5199 which was parked at Jakheni Chowk on 04/09/2025 had been stolen. In this regard, case FIR No. 326/2025 U/S 303(2) BNS was registered.
On the same day, another complaint was received from Mima Begum W/O Tariq Hussain R/O Ward No. 5, Bharat Nagar Udhampur, stating that on 01/09/2025 she had locked her house and gone to her relatives' place. On returning the next day, she found the locks broken and mobile phones along with Rs 20,000 stolen. Accordingly, case FIR No. 327/2025 U/S 331(4) 305 BNS was registered.
During the course of investigation, Police team of PS Udhampur led by its SHO apprehended two accused persons:
1. Badal Kumar S/O Dilip Kumar R/O Panjar Panchari Udhampur 2. Kuldeep Chand @ Mera S/O Sindoor Chand R/O Gandala Udhampur From their possession, the stolen motorcycle (JK14J-5199) was recovered from Gandala. Further investigation also led to the recovery of 04 stolen mobile phones and Rs 11,500 cash.
