Early Times Report UDHAMPUR, Sept 14: SSP Udhampur Sh. Amod Ashok Nagpure-IPS chaired an operations-cum-crime review meeting at DPL Udhampur. The meeting was attended by ASP Udhampur, SDPOs, DySP PCs, Sr. PO DPO, PO DPO, Prob. DySPs, SHOs and Incharge PPs of the District. The review focused on: 1) Police Station wise review of investigations, inquest proceedings and crime trends, implementation of new criminal laws and cyber crime cases. 2) Disposal of pending cases and execution of court orders. 3) Action against drug trafficking, bovine smuggling, crimes against women and other social crimes. 4) Progress on tracing missing persons, arresting absconders, solving theft/burglary cases and executing court processes. 5) Emphasis on preventive policing measures and visible presence in sensitive/vulnerable areas. 6) Strengthening coordination with prosecution officers for effective trial and conviction in cases. 7) Stress on community engagement and grievance redressal, with focus on youth involvement, awareness drives and regular Police-Public meetings to build trust. 8) Review of flood rescue , preparedness and disaster management, including readiness of manpower, equipment and coordination with civil administration. 9) Review of NHW management and traffic regulation during recent rainy days, with deployment of manpower and availability of police teams at landslide-prone areas for immediate assistance. 10) Counter terror operations in Dudu, Basantgarh sub-division, with directions to intensify area domination, surveillance and anti-terrorism measures. 11) Security of vital installations and sensitive establishments in the district. SSP Udhampur directed officers to maintain high alertness, adopt a public-centric approach and intensify the drive against drugs, cyber crimes and other social evils. He also emphasized professionalism, accountability and quick response to public issues. |
