Early Times Report JAMMU, Sept 14: Dr. Manohar Lal Sharma, Former Minister, has put forth a set of demands to the Central Government, LG, and UT Government to provide relief and support to the flood-affected areas in Jammu and Kashmir.Dr. Sharma recently visited several flood-affected habitations, including Nand, Jasyal (Galak), Bundhar Rajwalta, Wool Korethayal (Ramkote), Sundla, Kilther Amuwala, Chinging Makwal, Kalyal, Kayari, Dharamkote, Dardar Kishanpur Dungara, Rodala, Satheri, Themnal, Baggan, Tallu Dilu-Kanew, Kishanpur, Billawar Town, and SC Mohalla Sukral. He interacted with affected families and assessed the damage caused by the floods. Dr. Sharma has demanded that the government deploy teams to assess the loss of property, including residential houses, commercial property, and crops. Make immediate payment of relief and compensation to affected families, including ration and durable tents. Restore road connectivity, water, and power supply to affected areas. Allot land in safer areas for families whose land has slid. Waive off KCC/crops loan of floods and rain-affected areas. Dr. Sharma's demands highlight the urgent need for government intervention to provide relief and support to the flood-affected areas.
