“Press Freedom Day” was celebrated with great enthusiasm in the premises of Jodhamal Public School.. Anuradha Bhasin Jamwal, Joint Editor, Kashmir Times, was the Chief Guest for the day.
Students of senior school gave a brief history of the print media and current trends prevailing in the media. A mime was enacted by students depicting the pressures on the media and how this fourth pillar is being pushed ina corner by the social system. It was a message to all to give freedom to press to air their views.
Mrs. Bhasin spoke on the occasion highlighting the responsibility fo the media and the part it takes in spreading current and correct information to the people. The vote of thanks was given by the Principal, Krishna Bhati.
