JKAACL Jammu organizes one day symposium | | |  early times report
Jammu, Sept 15: Sahitya Akademi New Delhi in collaboration with Jammu Kashmir Academy of Art, culture and languages, Jammu, organized one day symposium on veteran Dogri poet "Romal Singh Bhadwal". Inaugural season was presided by D. K. Vaid Darshan Darshi and chief guest was Harvinder Kour, secretary culture Academy. Welcome address and Introductory Note was presented by Mohan Singh convenor Dogri advisory board Sahitya Akademi new Delhi. Key note address was presented by Shivdev Sushil and vote of thanks was presented by Rita Khadyal. In the beginning, Mohan Singh convenor Dogri advisory board Sahitya Akademi new Delhi, welcomed all the distinguished guests and spoke about the poet Romal Singh Bhadwal. He said that Romal Singh Bhadwal was a poet of people for people. He never went his head or nee for his benefit before government or any civil servants. He was so popular in rural areas of Duggar through his poetry. Belongs to Dadwara near bhadu in kathua district of Jammu province, Romal Singh Bhadwal was a versatile actor also and was popular for his role of Ravan in Ramleela. Apart from inaugural season, there was two season more. 1st season was chaired by Puran Chander Sharma and paper readers were Khajur Singh Thakur and Mohinder Singh. 2nd season was chaired by Krishan Singh Jasrotia and the paper readers were Deepika Mehra and Arti Raina.
