Jammmu & Kashmir academy of Art, Culture & languages Jammu today organized release function of the Punjab book entitled ‘Nengali Da Modi’ a life sketch of Sant Bhai Rattan Singh Modi today at K.L Saigal Hall. Mahant Manjit Singh, Shiromani Dera Nanagalli Sahib presided and S. Rangil Singh Former Minister and Intellectual was the chief guest. Mrs Savita Bakshi, Additional Secretary, J&K Cultural Academy Jammu was also present in the presidium.
Mahant Mnnjit Singh while blessing the author of the book released today, also that Giani Pritam Singh after retiring from army has rendered his services to the Shiromani Dera Nangli Sahib. Mahant Manjit Singh further said that Giani Pritam Singh has written more than 18 books in which the history of the respective Saints fo Dera Nangali Sahib and their great sacrifices and contribution to maintain the secularism and communal harmony not only in poonch sand Jammu but in the whole State of Jammu and Kashmir also.
While speaking on the occasion, S Rangil Singh, former minister and the intellectual congratulated Giani Pritam Singh, the author of the book and also complimented Zaffaer Iqbal Manhas, Secretary, J&K Cultural Academy for organizing such literary activities in Jammu even after Darbar move. While highlighting the importance of the Shiromani Dera Nangali Sahib, He said that it is because of the blessings of the Dera that the Hindu, Muslims and Sikhs of the Poonch region always lived united and succeeded to maintain the secularism and brotherhood.
Savita Bakshi, Additional Secretary, J&K Cultural Academy, Jammu said that the Academy has decided to maintain the pace of the activities even in this summer session and today’s release function is the beginning.
