| Soz, Chavan, Farooq jointly address public rally at Bandipora | | Seek votes for NC candidate | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 9- Prithviraj Chavan General Secretary AICC & MOS (PMO), Prof. Saifuddin Soz Union Minister of Water Resources and President J&K PCC and former Chief Minister and National Conference Patron Dr. Farooq Abdullah jointly visited Bandipora and addressed a very largely attended Public rally there today.
While addressing the gathering Prithviraj Chavan told the gathering that he had carried message of UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi to earnestly appeal to you to vote for National Conference candidate Sharief-u-Din Shariq. He emphasized that the coalition between Congress and National Conference has been forged to serve best interests of the people of the state.
Addressing the gathering Prof. Saifuddin Soz assured the people that he would help Usman Majid to build Bandipora into a Model Town, where basic amenities of life will be provided to the people. He also said that the efforts will be undertaken to complete Kishan Ganga Project that will generate 330MWs of Power, besides creating avenues for employment. He urged the people to vote for National Conference candidate Sharief-u-Din Shariq.
Speaking on the occasion Dr. Farooq Abdullah made a passionate appeal to people to accept National Conference-Congress coalition and help it to perform well. He said that plough can not perform unless it is held strongly by hand, and, therefore urged the people to forget past differences and work together for the betterment of the state.
Pt. Mangat Ram Sharma former Deputy CM., Former Minister Usman Majid, Ghulam Nabi Monga-Vice President PCC and Habibullah Bhat also addressed the rally.
On this Advocate Mohammed Abdullah Mir and Master Abdul Ahad prominent leaders of Langate joined Congress party today.
