| KC College of Education observed World Ozone Day | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Sept 16: Environmental Club of K.C. College of Education today organized an activity to mark the forthcoming event of Environmental concern, 'World Ozone Day', the day proclaimed by the United Nations General Assembly as International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone layer.
The members of the club organized a poster making activity on the theme for World Ozone Day 2025 - "From Science to Global Action". The theme emphasized the success of the Montreal Protocol in moving from scientific understanding of ozone depletion to global implementation of solutions.
The main aim of the activity was applaused the participants by the convenor of the club, Dr. Puja Sharma - that is to spread the awareness about the importance of ozone layer & the importance of International cooperation to protect the ozone layer for the benefit of people and the planet.
A good number of students of 3rd semester participated in the activity organized by the club who then educated the other students as the issue of preservation of ozone layer through their posters. Speaking on the occasion, Principal of the college, Dr. Sanjay Tickoo highlighted the importance of celebrating environmental related days and appreciated the efforts of the club for organizing such environmental activities. The whole programme was convened by Dr. Puja Sharma, Convenor, Environmental Club. |
