Humanity Public School organises English and Hindi calligraphy competition | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Sept 16: A good handwriting is not just a work of art. It is an art in itself. Humanity Public School, Bassi Kalan, Bari Brahmana understands this truth. Hence, the school recently organised a Hindi and an English calligraphy competition for the students of class 1st to 5th. The lively event aimed to enhance the student's fine motor skills and helped foster an appreciation for beautiful handwriting as a soulful possession. Students participated enthusiastically, showcasing their talent, creativity, and attention to detail through graceful handwriting and decorative letterforms. The competition aimed to encourage students to explore the elegance of handwritten expression in an age dominated by digital communication. Participants demonstrated a remarkable blend of tradition and innovation, with each entry reflecting a unique artistic style. In English Calligraphy category, students brought forward refined cursive and ornamental styles, while the Hindi Calligraphy section saw intricate renditions of Devanagari script, celebrating the rich cultural heritage of the language. In an English calligraphy competition for classes 4th and 5th Vani Sharma (5th) got first position, Sanghvi Khatri (5th) won second position and Mehpreet Kour (4th) stood at third position. In competition for class 3rd Aradhya Sharma (3rd B) secured first position, Bhuvika Sharma (3rd B) won second position and third position was bagged by Anupam Thapa. Likewise in Hindi calligraphy competition for classes 4th & 5th Mehpreet Kaur (4th) secured first position, second position was bagged by Aarav Khullar(4th) and Sanvika (5th) and Harish Singh (5th) stood at third position. In competition organised for classes 1st to 3rd Divyanshi (3rd A) got first position, Avneet Kaur (3rd G) won 2nd position and third position was secured by Avni Singh (3rd G) respectively. The winners of Hindi and English Calligraphy Competition were awarded with merit certificates. The calligraphy competition was supervised by Namrta Sharma, High Wing Incharge and Vandana Sharma, Primary Wing Incharge. Principal of the school, Gaurav Charak applauded the participants and said that in this digital era, it's heartening to see our students embracing the art of handwriting with such passion. Calligraphy not only enhances writing skills but also instills patience and creativity. Vice-Principal Anku Charak also congratulated the winners and motivated the students to continue honing their skills and participate in such competitions in future as well.
