Early Times Report JAMMU, Sept 16: Unique International Public School in collaboration with Reffa Boules India Federation hosted a vibrant sports event in the school premises in which approximately 150 students from various schools participated, the schools are Jammu Sanskriti School, Dogra Hr Secondary School, Shiksha Niketan Hr Secondary School, Cinoural International School, S D Tarapuri High School under the supervision of Reffa Boules Indian Federation that celebrated teamwork, inclusivity and student talent. The occasion was graced by Chief Guest, SSP, CICE in Jammu and Kashmir, Jenab Mohd Yaseen Kichloo (IPS), Guest of Honour Ajay Sharma, (JKPS)SP South Jammu and Special Guest, Madam Ranjeet Kour, (JKAS) State Tax Officer, Enforcement (East), Department of Taxation. Other dignitaries who presided over the whole event were S Jasbir Singh Chairman UIPS, Nirlep Kour Managing Director UIPS, Sunny Nanda General Secretary Reffa Boules India Federation, Mrs Aastha Nanda Secretary of Reffa Balls India Federation, S Sucha Singh Sports Director Reffa Balls India Federation. The event commenced with a warm welcome and lighting of the ceremonial lamp, followed by prize distribution, group song and mash-up dance performance. A thrilling demonstration of the Boccie Ball Tournament was also organised with enthusiastic participation from both students and guests. The Chief Guest M Y Kichloo and the Guest of Honour Ajay Sharma addressed the students with inspiring words. They motivated the young learners to actively participate in various sports activities, maintain discipline in their daily lives and above all to be good human beings. They emphasized that only when students learn to uphold humanity and moral values can they truly understand the essence of education and grow into responsible citizens of the nation. In her speech, Er Ranjeet Kour emphasized that sports foster teamwork and discipline. A special highlight of the event was the active participation of specially abled children, who not only played the sport with determination but also emerged victorious, showcasing the true spirit of inclusivity and resilience. The program concluded with the distribution of gold, silver and bronze medals, all the medal winning students are elevated to the state Boccie Ball championship. The presentation of mementos and a heartfelt vote of thanks was presented by the Principal Dr Ramma Mattoo. The event was a resounding success, inspiring students to embrace sportsmanship, unity and awareness. |
