GDC Samba organises seminar on civic duties | | |  early times report
Samba, Sept 22: The Department of Political Science, Government Degree College Samba, organized an enlightening seminar on the theme “Civic Duties” with the objective of spreading awareness among students about their fundamental responsibilities as citizens in a democratic society. The event provided a vibrant platform for students to showcase their views and understanding of the role of civic sense in nation-building. The seminar was graced by the presence of distinguished judges — Dr. Anupma Sharma, Head of the Department of Hindi, and Prof. Meenakshi Thakur, Head of the Department of Sociology. Both judges praised the participants for their thought-provoking presentations and highlighted how civic duties are as important as fundamental rights. After a competitive and insightful round of presentations, Ritika emerged as the first position holder, while Suvidha Sambyal bagged the second position. The third position was secured by Kanshu. The winners were applauded for their clarity of thought, effective communication, and deep understanding of the subject.
