jammu, Sept 22: Today on 22-09-2025, as part of the SEVA PAKHWADA initiative, a Sanitation Drive was successfully conducted at Government Polytechnic Jammu. The event was organized to promote cleanliness, hygiene awareness, and a sense of social responsibility among students, staff and NSS Wing of Government Polytechnic Jammu.
The Faculty members, non-teaching staff, NSS Wing of Government Polytechnic Jammu and a large number of students enthusiastically participated in the drive, which aimed to align with the vision of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
The Key activities undertaken during the drive included: cleaning of classrooms, laboratories, corridors, and common areas, removal of waste materials and plastic from the campus, plantation and maintenance of greenery around the institute, the display of cleanliness awareness posters and slogans, the sensitization sessions on hygiene and environmental responsibility.
The Principal Er. Talet Mahmood Government Polytechnic Jammu of the institute addressed the participants and emphasized the importance of individual contribution towards a cleaner and healthier India. The event concluded with a pledge by all attendees to maintain cleanliness not only within the campus but also in their surroundings.
The drive successfully fostered a sense of community engagement and environmental consciousness among students, reinforcing the spirit of service and collective responsibility. |
