Kalakote, Sept 22: The NSS unit of Government Degree College Kalakote organized a cleanliness drive on sixth day of celebrations of Sewa Parv 2025/Gandhi Jayanti, under the guidance and supervision of the esteemed Principal of the college, Prof. Mohd Farooq Mirza.
The programme was aimed at carrying out the Swachhata Abhiyan within the college premises to promote and instil a sense of cleanliness and hygiene among the students.
Students from all semesters participated in the drive with great enthusiasm and energy.
The cleanliness campaign extensively covered the entire academic block of the college, including key areas such as the library corridor, Class Rooms, Labs, and the examination hall.
These spaces were thoroughly cleaned to ensure a tidy and conducive environment for learning and academic activities.
Prior to the commencement of the drive, NSS Programme Officer Prof. Davinder Singh informed the students about the objectives and importance of the day's activity, motivating them to contribute wholeheartedly to the cause of cleanliness.
In addition to the active participation of students, faculty members from various departments were also present and took part in the drive, setting an example of collective responsibility and teamwork in maintaining campus cleanliness."
