Vijaypur, Sept 22: The Department of Hindi at Government Degree College, Vijaypur successfully organized a painting competition on the values and principles of Mahatma Gandhi, as part of the ongoing Sewa Parv celebrations. The event was aimed at instilling a deeper understanding of Gandhian philosophies, such as non-violence (Ahimsa), truth (Satya), self-reliance (Swadeshi), and social responsibility.
The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across various departments, who showcased their artistic talents while expressing the profound impact of Gandhian ideals. Participants used diverse media—watercolours, oil paints, and sketching techniques—to visually represent the relevance of Gandhi's teachings in today’s world.
The theme of the event was "Gandhi's Vision for a Better Society," focusing on how his principles continue to inspire positive social change and promote unity and peace.
