| Bovine smuggling bid foiled, 9 bovines rescued | | |

Jammu, Sept 23: Jammu Police, tightening its noose against bovine smugglers under Operation Kamdhenu, foiled a smuggling attempt in the Bishnah area. A police team of Police Station Bishnah rescued a total of 09 bovines during the operation.
The accused persons were taking animals in foot in cruel manner, beating and harsh manner without DM's permission. Accused namely (1) Masoom Ali S.O Nizam Din and (2) Liaqat Ali S.O Abdul Ghani was arrested on the spot.
In this regard, a case FIR No. 105/2025 under section 223 BNS/11 PCA Act has been registered at Police Station Bishnah. Further investigation into the matter is underway.
The general public has appreciated the continuous and strict action of Jammu Police against bovine smugglers.
