Various stalls allotted through mega e-auction at railway stations in Kashmir Valley | | | early times report
Jammu, Sept 23: In a significant step towards asset monetization and increasing non-fare revenue, the Jammu Division successfully conducted a mega e-auction to allocate stalls at various stations in the Kashmir Valley. The initiative was conducted under the able leadership of Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Mr. Uchit Singhal, and was enthusiastically participated by bidders from across the region. As a result of the e-auction, several shops and kiosks were successfully allotted at various railway stations, a strategic step towards improved passenger amenities and local economic development. Stalls of various products at railway stations in the Kashmir Valley. 1. Mobile/Mobile Accessories Outlet at Banihal Railway Station. 2. Mobile/mobile accessories outlet at Awantipora Railway Station. 3. Mobile and mobile accessories shops allocated at Anantnag Railway Station. 4. Grocery/photocopier outlet at Anantnag Railway Station. 5. Grocery/photocopier outlet at Sangaldan Railway Station. 6. Grocery/photocopier outlet at Srinagar Railway Station. 7. Grocery/photocopier outlet at Awantipora Railway Station. 8. Grocery/photocopier outlet at Banihal Railway Station. This initiative is expected to generate a total revenue of ₹26,16,963 for Indian Railways over a period of three years. In addition to financial benefits, this initiative will enhance the travel experience for passengers by introducing convenient and essential services at railway stations. Additionally, this will create employment opportunities and boost the local economy of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. |
