Jammu, Sept 23: JKSPYM, State Level Coordinating Agency (SLCA) for Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan (NMBA) and the National Action Plan for Drug Demand Reduction (NAPDDR), organized today impactful awareness programs on “Drug Abuse Prevention” at three different locations at Govt. Hr. Sec. School, Leh (Ladakh); community Awareness programs at Main chowk, Bus Stand, Jammu and Taxi Stand, Leh in collaboration with the NISD, Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt. of India. School awareness program was held at Govt. Girls Hr. Sec. School, Leh (Ladakh), where around 82 students actively participated. First community event held at Main Chowk, Jammu Bus Stand, attended by more than 70 community members and a Nukkad Natak was performed to creatively highlight the dangers of drug abuse, which was highly appreciated and enjoyed by the public. Second community event held for Taxi drivers of Taxi Union, Ladakh. Around 72 people attended the program. Resource persons from SLCA addressed the gathering and stressed community participation in preventing substance abuse. Awareness programs concluded with the pledge on Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan and a group photograph, reaffirming the collective commitment to a drug-free society.
