jammu, Sept 23: The Victory Against Drug Abuse (VADA) Club of Mehr Chand Mahajan DAV College for Women, in collaboration with NCC (Naval Wing), and under the aegis of the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment, organised an awareness session on Yoga and Meditation as part of Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan. The session focused on promoting a healthier, drug-free lifestyle through holistic practices of yoga and meditation proposed by the Department of Ayurveda, Yoga, Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, and Homeopathy (AYUSH). The session included the practice of asanas such as Paschimottanasana, Mountain Pose, Yog Nidra, Padahastasana, and Shashankasana. More than 50 students, including members of the NCC Naval Wing, actively participated in the exercises, which highlighted the role of yoga and meditation in reducing stress, strengthening mental resilience, and combating addiction. Officiating Principal Ms. Neena Sharma inspired students to become ambassadors of Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, underscoring the pivotal role of the younger generation in building a healthier and stronger nation. She also lauded the efforts of the coordinators and applauded the enthusiastic participation of the students, encouraging them to spread awareness within their communities and act as catalysts of positive change.
