Jammu, Sept 23: As part of the Sewa Pakhwada initiative launched by the Government of India, Government ITI R.S. Pura enthusiastically celebrated Skill Demo Day with the participation of faculty, staff, and trainees. The event was conducted under the supervision of Er. Amandeep Singh, Superintendent, who warmly welcomed the distinguished guests. Our Chief Guest was Jenab G.M. Bhat, Joint Director, Skill Development Department Jammu who addressed the gathering and emphasized the critical role of skill development in shaping individual careers and contributing to national growth. He also appreciated the excellent trade exhibits and practical demonstrations presented by the trainees, which showcased their talent and hands-on expertise. The program was further enriched by the presence of Jenab Ziya -Ul-haq Kohli, H.O.D Mission Skill and Ms. Radhika Sharma, Engagement Co-ordinator, fom NSDC who encouraged the students to participate in the upcoming Skill India Competition 2025. They highlighted the remarkable achievement of three students from Jammu & Kashmir who won gold medals at the recent international competition held in France, inspiring the current trainees to aim for similar success. The next global event is scheduled in Shanghai, China, where participants must qualify through district, state, and national levels. The government will provide all necessary training, financial assistance, and support to facilitate their journey. The celebration concluded with a renewed spirit of motivation and confidence among the trainees to excel in their skills, compete fiercely, and proudly represent India on the world stage
