Indian Army organised Medical Camp at Chhanni Dewanun Akhnoor | | | Early Times Report AKHNOOR, Sept 23: As part of its continued efforts under Operation Sadbhavana to extend healthcare facilities to remote border areas, Laukikhad Battalion under the aegis of Manawar Yodha Brigade organised a door-to-door medical camp for residents of the remote border village of Chaani Dewanun in the Akhnoor Sector. The initiative aimed to provide essential healthcare services directly to the homes of villagers who face significant challenges accessing medical facilities post flash floods in the affected areas. A team led by Indian Army Medical Officer moved house to house conducting health check-ups and providing free consultations and medicines to local residents, especially the elderly, women and children. The camp was met with an overwhelming and grateful response from the community, which had limited access to regular healthcare. The initiative reaffirms the Indian Army's unwavering commitment towards nation building and its dedication to improve quality of life in remote border region of Akhnoor sector. The medical camp was a huge success and has further strengthened the bond of friendship between Indian Army and citizens of those border areas. |
