Early Times Report JAMMU, Sept 23: The Department of Mass Communication and New Media, Central University of Jammu, organized a grand Freshers' Party at Brig. Rajendra Singh Auditorium. The event was organized to welcome the new batch of students into the CUJ Mass Comm. community. The program commenced with a warm welcome address, followed by a series of cultural performances including music, dance, skits and fun-filled activities, making the day memorable for both seniors and freshers. The auditorium was filled with enthusiasm and energy as students showcased their talent, creativity and teamwork. It reflected the vibrancy of campus life and created an environment of joy, laughter and togetherness. Speaking on the occasion, Head of the Department Dr. Abhay S.D. Rajput congratulated the students and encouraged them to explore their creativity and excel in academics as well as extracurricular activities. In the highlight of the event, the titles of Mr. & Mrs. Fresher were announced. For M.A. 1st Semester, Mr. Fresher was awarded to Maloop Singh and Mrs. Fresher to Swati Suman. For B.A. 1st Semester, Mr. Fresher was awarded to Mangal Pandey and Mrs. Fresher to Kashish Angural. The event was organized under the guidance of the faculty members, with enthusiastic participation by the students and research scholars of the Mass Communication and New Media Department, ensuring the success of Freshers' 25. Faculty members Prof. Paramveer Singh, Assistant Professor Pushplata, Associate Professor Umesh Kumar, Senior Assistant Prof. Rashid Ali, Assistant Prof. Manish Prakash along with all departmental staff also graced the event and motivated the students with their presence. The program concluded with a vote of thanks to all the participants, organizers and faculty members for making the event a success.
