Early Times Report JAMMU, Sept 23: A Yoga Seminar was organised by Vichar Kranti Manch International (VKMI) & Indian Yoga Association at Sector-4, Fountain Park, Chhanni Himmat. The session was presided over by Dr. Shreyansh Kumar Jain, President VKMI & State Chairman IYA. The special invitee was Sh. Ashok Gupta, Vice President VKMI & State Secretary IYA. Dr. Jain delivered an insightful talk on how yoga can rejuvenate the human body and enhance overall wellbeing. He explained how pressing different finger tips on the palm can help activate the functioning of vital organs. He also elaborated on the concept of Vaat, Pitta, and Kapha (Cough) as per Ayurveda: Vaat (Air element) - responsible for movement, circulation, flexibility, and nervous system activity. When imbalanced, it can cause joint pain, dryness, anxiety, and constipation. Pitta (Fire element) - governs digestion, metabolism, and body temperature. Its imbalance leads to acidity, anger, skin rashes, and inflammation. Kapha (Water element, often referred to as "Cough") - maintains body structure, lubrication, and immunity. Excess Kapha can result in cough, cold, lethargy, and weight gain. Dr. Jain shared effective Indian household remedies using Jeera (cumin), Ajwain (carom seeds), Saunf (fennel), and Methidana (Fenugreek) for the prevention and treatment of body aches, especially knee pain. He further demonstrated simple but powerful breathing exercises, emphasizing long and deep breathing techniques to improve lung capacity and vitality. Ashok Gupta actively participated and demonstrated Hasya Yoga (Laughter Yoga) and Clapping Yoga, which help in releasing stress, improving blood circulation, and clearing blockages in the body. The seminar saw active participation from S/Sh. Bhushan Gupta, Narotam Sharma, Ravinder Gupta, Ramesh Gupta, Sudesh Gupta, A.K. Mahajan, Dr. Vinay Gupta, Rajan Gupta, Rakesh Gupta, Rajesh Jain, and Susheel Tagotra, [Members of Morning walkers Association) who also raised their queries that were addressed by Dr. Jain.
