Early Times Report JAMMU, Sept 23: The Airports Authority of India (AAI), in collaboration with the Directorate of AYUSH, J&K, UT, celebrated the 10th Ayurveda Day at Jammu Airport with great enthusiasm. The event included a free Ayurveda health camp and an informative display of medicinal plants, promoting awareness about traditional systems of medicine and preventive healthcare. Passengers, airport staff, and stakeholders benefited from on-the-spot consultations, health check-ups, and distribution of Ayurvedic medicines. Dr. Nikhil Singh Jamwal (Medical Officer) and Dr. Sonam Singh(MLHP-Community Health Officer) from the Chief Medical office, Jammu along with Dr. Konika Bhagat (Medical Officer AYUSH) & S. Ravinder Singh posted at PHC Jammu Airport, provided personalized consultations and explained the therapeutic significance of various medicinal plants, highlighting Ayurveda's focus on nature-based healing and holistic well-being. The celebrations were further highlighted by a visit from the Parliament Committee on Public Undertakings 2025-26, headed by its Chairman Shri Baijayant Panda, along with committee members Shri Shankarla Bani, Shri Mukesh Rajput, Shri Sukinjinder Singh Randhawa, Shri Neeraj Dangi, and Dr. Bhagwat Karad, emphasizing the significance of such health and wellness initiatives at public facilities like airports. Speaking on the occasion, Airport Director Sh. B. M. Kaul expressed gratitude to Dr. Harbaksh Singh, CMO, Jammu for deputing a dedicated team of doctors and appreciated the collaborative efforts of all stakeholders in ensuring the camp's success.
