He highlighted the shift to a simple two-rate structure (5% and 18%), which will inject nearly ?2 lakh crore into domestic consumption, equivalent to 4 times the PMAY allocations and 10 times the PLI Scheme allocations. "This is an immediate victory for every Indian, ensuring prosperity reaches every corner. This year, Lakshmi Ji sabke ghar aayegi," Sharma added, underscoring the pro-people approach that protects the poor and middle class while securing the national exchequer. Key Speaker CA Aanchal Kapoor delved into the practical implications of the reforms. She explained the new rate schedules, including exemptions for essentials like milk, paneer, and curd (reduced from 5% to 0%), and slashes on daily items such as hair oil, shampoo, toothpaste, and soap (from 18% to 5%). "These changes empower citizens by enhancing purchasing power, driving a new wave of consumption from the ground up. The simplified GST with only two slabs will make compliance easier for households and businesses alike," Kapoor said.
