| Congress will win Ladakh seat with thumping majority: Soz | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, May 10- State PCC chief Prof Saifuddin Soz is not ready to accept the ground reality that due to non -cooperation of the National Conference leaders the alliance candidate contesting Ladakh parliamentary seat, P Namgayal, is facing an uphill task to romp home victoriously. On Sunday when Prof Soz cancelled his proposed visit to Leh due to bad weather conditions he simply released a press statement expressing hope that alliance candidate would win the seat with thumping majority. For majority of state Congress leaders it came across as a cruel joke as the ground reality tells a different tale. It is learnt that despite direct intervention of the senior Congress leaders majority of the National Conference leaders continue chose to stay away from campaigning in the cold desert and bent upon wrecking the coalition boat facing turbulent weather in both Leh and Kargil districts. Ridiculing the press statement issued by the PCC chief from his office in Delhi, a senior state Congress leader not happy with the NC's role lamented ," the senior congress leaders were simply buying time and doing little on the ground to make up for the lost ground. He said if the state congress leaders had made it clear to the NC leadership that it was mandatory for them to join the campaign the ground would not slipped beneath official candidate of the coalition partners. "With just one day left for the campaigning to end it is already too late for the alliance partners to make up for the lost ground". "Congress leaders should now rely on prayers and division of vote among the rival candidates", angry congress leader and close aide of P Namgayal said
