Chandigarh, Sept 25: The NSS Units of Mehr Chand Mahajan DAV College for Women, under the aegis of the Ministry of Ayush, Government of India, organised an expert session on the themes ‘Ayurveda Aahara for Obesity’ and ‘Natural Skin Care’ to mark the 10th Anniversary of Ayurveda Day. The session featured distinguished speakers- Mr. Dalip Singh, Natural Lifestyle Coach, and Dr. Srishti (BA, MS, MD, FMC, Germany), Director, Shri Krishna Multi Speciality Hospital, Yamunanagar. They highlighted holistic approaches to healthy living, with a focus on diet, natural remedies, and sustainable practices rooted in India’s traditional knowledge systems. The interactive session proved highly enriching as students actively participated by raising queries and seeking guidance on lifestyle choices and natural skincare practices. Officiating Principal Ms. Neena Sharma lauded the initiative, emphasising the importance of integrating Ayurvedic principles into daily routines and adopting simple, effective wellness practices. She noted that the session resonated with the true spirit of Ayurveda Day, inspiring participants to embrace natural living and holistic well-being.
