| Arrangements for Urs Sharief of Hazrat Sain Elahi Baksh finalized. | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Poonch May 10- To finalize arrangements for commemoration of Urs Sharief of Hazrat Sain Elahi Baksh, of Loran, a meeting of the organizing committee and district officers was held here today at Loran (Poonch) under the chairmanship of Aijaz Ahmed Jan, MLA Poonch, who is also the Chairman of the committee.
During the meeting detail discussion were held and a program was chalked out to commemorate the Urs on May 16 and 16, 2009.
Keeping in view the huge participation of the devotees and people from all parts of the state and the country, Jan impressed upon the organizing committee and the district administration to work in unison and ensure that all necessary arrangements viz lodging boarding, traveling and other facilities are provided to the people who come to attend the Urs.
Addressing the meeting Jan said “it is an occasion for thousands of believers to congregate at the shrine and offer their prayers and it is our moral duty to ensure that the Urs Sharief of Hazrat Sain Elahi Baksh is commemorated in a magnificent way”. He also appealed the people throughout the state to come and join the people of Poonch in the celebrations of Urs Sharief.
Besides the organizing committee members, the meeting was also attended Superintent of police Poonch, Executive Engineers of PHE, PWD, PDD and other prominent persons.
