Early Times Report JAMMU, Sept 25: Anganwadi centres across Jammu observed Poshan Maah 2025 with a series of activities aimed at promoting nutrition awareness and healthy eating practices. The celebrations featured recipe competitions, awareness camps, and Poshan Vatika (nutri-garden) initiatives, encouraging the community to adopt balanced diets and enhance nutrition literacy. The nationwide Poshan Abhiyaan seeks to improve nutritional outcomes for children, adolescent girls, pregnant women, and lactating mothers through community participation, inter-departmental coordination, and support from social organizations and the public. At Paloura Kot Bhalwal, under Poshan Maah 2025, a special awareness programme on health, nutrition, and life skills was conducted by CDPO Poshan Kot Bhalwal, Mohit Bharati, along with supervisors Neelam Firdous and Sarita Manhas. Anganwadi workers and helpers from Ward No. 38, Ward No. 59, and Ward No. 60 actively participated, along with beneficiaries including children, adolescent girls, and mothers. Former corporator of Ward No. 59, Ashok Manhas, attended the function as a guest, while the supervisor of the Anganwadi centre and other workers were also present on the occasion. |
